IBI Group acted as the Interior Design firm for this project spanning 1.75 floors in the Guinness Tower in downtown Vancouver, with the partial floor being dedicated solely to Richardson Wealth’s client centre. The intent for the reception space and client centre was to provide a truly seamless and welcoming experience with multi-functional capabilities.

Innovative meeting room types with integrated AV allow for flexibility, while a moveable glass partition in the main boardroom supports town hall meetings, social functions and training. The existing interconnecting staircase was refinished to encourage movement and allow the client centre to be easily accessed from the office space above. The general office space incorporates offices with glass fronts along the core and workstations around the perimeter, providing all staff access to daylight and exterior views.

Employee well-being was at the forefront of the design, with flexibility being integrated by providing sit/stand desks in each workstation and office. Open, collaborative spaces are peppered throughout to allow for impromptu meetings among teams, while enclosed meeting rooms and phone rooms are located along the core. The spacious staff lounge occupies prime corner real estate to encourage collaboration and social connections. Overall, the project achieved the client’s vision of a space that would allow collaboration among teams, address the evolving advisor-client relationship, and provide an enhanced employee experience.
